I am a licensed counselor, a professional consultant, and a doctoral student using my training and experience to support individuals through personal and professional growth. My academic interests include researching the experiences of counseling professionals living with mental illness, counselor preparedness for working with clients experiencing suicidal ideation and nonsuicidal self-injury, and best practices in treating various personality disorders.

As a psychotherapist, my practice specializes in helping adults transition from involuntarily hospitalization and inpatient settings to a life centered on healing and reconnecting with themselves. I also work with individuals recovering from distressing relationships and rebuilding their lives after traumatic experiences.

I recently began my doctoral studies at Walden University to advocate for counselors and counselors-in-training on the journey to recovery from their own mental health struggles. On this site, you will find my academic portfolio, which contains my teaching philosophy, samples of my work, and other relevant experiences.
